Alex Hunting Studio were commissioned to redesign the art and culture magazine This Orient for its third issue. Volume three celebrates contemporary North African and Middle Eastern culture. The magazine visits artists at their studios or homes to explore their art and the influences that have shaped their work. We reimagined the entire magazine, introducing a new visual identity, grid and typographic systems, format and paper stock changes. We created a clean and minimal design to house and celebrate the varied and eclectic content, without overpowering it.
